What Articarry is, and what it is not

What Articarry does

Articarry gives a child something to read at home between your sessions, records short audio of them saying the words you targeted, and organizes what happened so you can read it in a few minutes. It keeps your plan, your notes, and your own records of what you decided and when.

What Articarry does not do

• It does not diagnose, and it does not treat. Nothing it shows you is a clinical finding.
• It does not decide what a recording means. A per-word band, a "sounded like" signal, a count of flagged clips: each of those is a pointer for your ear, not a conclusion about a child's speech.
• It does not plot a child's speech over time. The only signal the platform could plot on its own is a third-party scoring engine's output, which has not been validated as a clinical instrument, and a line drawn from it would read like a finding while being nothing of the kind. What the platform charts is practice: days, counts, sittings. What you record about a child over time is yours, in your words.
• It does not contact families on your behalf, and it does not put a model in front of a child. Nothing calls a language model while a child is using the app.

About the scoring engine

Recordings are sent to a third-party pronunciation-scoring service, which returns per-word and per-sound numbers. Those numbers are a commercial speech-technology output, not a clinical instrument, and Articarry has not validated them against your clinical judgment. They are surfaced to point your ear at a clip worth opening. Where the product shows one, it shows the audio beside it, because the audio is the thing you can actually act on.

What stays yours

• Every clinical decision, without exception.
• What each child works on, at what level, in what order, and when that changes.
• What any recording means, and what you tell a family or a school about it. When the platform assembles a summary, it assembles it from facts and from your own records. It does not write your opinion for you.

What we ask of you

• Consent before audio. A child's guardian gives consent inside Articarry before any recording can be created, and the server enforces that. You are responsible for anything the server cannot see: that the invite went to the person entitled to give consent, and that you have whatever your practice, your employer, or your jurisdiction separately requires.
• Use it for what it is. Articarry is built around practice for speech sounds. It is not built for childhood apraxia of speech, fluency, voice, resonance, hearing loss, or language as a primary concern. You can flag any of those on a child's record; the platform will show the flag and will not change its behavior, because that judgment is yours.
• Your account is yours alone. Do not share credentials. Every open of a recording and every play of its audio is logged against the account that did it.
• Tell us when something is off. If a number looks unlike what you heard, or a screen says something you would not say to a family, write to support@articarry.com. That is not a support ticket to us. It is the main way this product stays honest.

Where your patients' recordings live

All of it stays in the United States, in one region, with Microsoft, under a business associate agreement that binds them to handle health data on Articarry's behalf and for nothing of their own. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, reachable only by you and the child's guardian, and every open of a recording writes an audit row. Audio is deleted 180 days after it is made, automatically, by the storage platform itself.

If your practice is a covered entity, the Business Associate Agreement you accept alongside these documents is the contract that governs all of that, and you can read, print, and keep a copy of it at any time.
